Featured Finding

Bauchi's public primary schools carry 1,144,255 pupils — but the state-wide pupil-classroom ratio is 122:1 and 61% of schools have no safe water source.

In some LGAs the pressure is extreme: Zaki records a pupil-teacher ratio of 296:1, and Toro's pupil-toilet ratio is 805:1. These are not administrative details — they shape lesson quality, girls' dignity and children's willingness to stay in school.
